  10. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

  13. Flow Pro is an essential software tool for designing open channels such as culverts, sluiceways, and water transportation flumes. It uses the industry standard Manning's equation, combined with numerical integration, to compute 
  14. a water surface profile for subcritical and supercritical flow types.

  16. Flow Pro computes the depth, velocity, energy, momentum, and area of flow for your channel, so you know exactly how high or steep it needs to be.  It also computes critical and normal depth, so you know what the controlling depths will be.  It also lets you choose between English or SI units, so you 
  17. can use the unit system you are most familiar with.

Flow Pro handles more cross sections than any other water surface profile program including circular, rectangular, trapezoidal, triangular, ushaped, and tubular shapes.  Flow Pro also includes a built in customizable graphing utility that allows you to quickly see the flow profile in your channel.

  31. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  34. * First uninstall any previous versions of Flow Pro, including the evaluation version, before installing the registered version.  You can do this by   clicking the Start button, selecting Settings, and then Control Panel.    Double-click the icon labeled "Add/Remove Programs" and remove any previous  versions of Flow Pro 1.0 or Flow Pro 1.0a.

  36. Installing from your hard drive:
  37. * Close all other programs, including MS Office and any startup utilities.
  38. * You may have downloaded the Flow Pro archive titled Flow95.zip.  Unzip this archive using Winzip or a compatible decompression utility.
  39. * Run setup.exe, and follow the on-screen instructions.

  41. Installing from the floppy disks:
  42. * Close all other programs, including MS Office and any startup utilities.
  43. * Insert the disk labeled "Disk 1" in your floppy drive.
  44. * Click the Start button and select Run.
  45. * Type A:\setup.exe (where A: is the letter of your floppy drive), and click OK.  Follow the on-screen instructions.

Flow Pro is reasonably priced at $39.95, with reduced rates for multi-user site licenses.  Registered users may either receive a registration key by email that registers the evaluation version; or have the software sent with a registration key, via postal mail, for a shipping and handling fee of $3.95 anywhere in the world. Purchase of a registration key gives a license for use of the program by one user or on one machine. All prices are subject to change without notice.
